ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights Brings the Soul to the Metroid Formula
ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights is a a tough, moody dark fantasy souls like metroidvania like game.
The combat is fast, fluid and very action based. Using evades and aiming to line up attacks and avoid them.
What is interesting is you don’t attack with the main character but with Spirits doing the attacks for you.
Amazingly well done and a hell of a lot of fun!
It is natural to compare it to similar games like Hollow Knight and Dead Cells and to Ender Lilies credit it stands next to those games very well while still providing players
with new and fresh ways to play that separate it from those like it. Like expanded options with combat using spirits and water levels.
One thing that needs to be mentioned is the art and music. The game looks and sounds incredible. Seriously. Beautiful stuff here.
We love the flow of combat and the exploration of the levels plus the different spirits that you use to fight with are really great.
The story is basic but charming and there is a real sense of accomplishment once you defeat a boss.
The game is still early access so is missing some things and stills needs to iron out it’s polish and a bit of chunkiness but the game is amazingly well done and a hell of a lot of fun!
Overall we are impressed with the game so far and are looking forward to the additions and changes that are coming.
Stay tuned as the game progresses through Early Access as we update our impressions leading to a review once fully released
