Destructoid sat down with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles game director Ruoma Araki and asked him why the game’s local Co-Op was cut. He said 3 of the 4 platforms the game was being released on were mobile and that playing multiplayer will be not much different than the original experience because players can still play in the same room with each other even over different platforms. It seemed it was local multiplayer or cross-platform.
So it seems the multiplayer experience will be present just not the way it was on it’s original release.
Look for the release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition on Android, iOS, PS4 and the Nintendo Switch August 27th
